Dance Base Classes: Tango Basics (Backwards Ochos)

At Dance Base we teach Beginners and Improvers classes on Tuesdays on a termly basis. Dance Base is Scotland's National Centre for Dance and we are honoured to be able to teach there in their fantastic studios. You can come alone or with a partner.

Beginners - 8.30pm-9.30pm

Each term is usually around 12 weeks long. This is the best way to immerse yourself in the intricate world of this dance. During this first term we explore Tango’s main foundations, teaching you how to move and communicate with your partner, how to understand the music and some of the first structures that the dance will be based on.

Improvers - 7.30pm-8.30pm

The improvers classes really build on the beginners course, adding more types of movements and steps, but also improving how you are moving and dancing with the music and social dance skills. The Improvers courses can be taken more than once as they continue to develop your skills.

Booking

These classes need to be booked by the term through Dance Base. Their telephone number is 0131 225 5525, or you can look online at www.dancebase.co.uk
